Gorging on the Great Food of Muscatine
Gorging on the Great Food of Muscatine

Muscatine is a small city and doesn’t have many restaurants to choose from. There are the usual fast food places, but where is there to eat when you’re looking for an actual dinner? Applebee’s, The Woodfire Grille (The Button Factory), and Salvatore’s are a few of the sit down restaurants preferred by society. If you’re looking for a different taste there are many Mexican restaurants including; Las Lomas and Silvia’s.
Hannah Lake, junior, says that she likes eating at Silvias for a few reasons. “You get waited on and you don’t have to cook, also the food and prices are good.” Mexican food is only one of the varieties of cultural categories in Muscatine. Muscatine also offers Thai, Chinese, Italian, and of course, American.
I love going out to eat. I enjoy all varieties except Chinese. Pizza is an all time favorite
of mine. My favorite places to get pizza would have to include Salvatore’s and Port City Underground. My favorite kinds of pizza from these restaurants are cheese and Canadian bacon. The Chart House (The Light House) is also an enjoyable restaurant to dine at. The atmosphere is pleasurable to be on the Mississippi. The Chart House is a fine place to take pleasure in a meal with your family. The Chart House also offers rope swings, an arcade, and a popcorn machine to occupy your time while waiting patiently for your food. The Mississippi Brew is another favorite in my family. Also on the river, The Missipi Brew has shows and a back room for parties. If I had the choice to choose places to eat in Muscatine my choices, from most favorite to least would be, Applebee’s, Salvatore’s, Port City Underground, and then the Chart House. I recommend all these restaurants and encourage you to try a new restaurant that you were maybe skeptical about trying before.
